Website Design & Development

I design websites that look like your business on its best day: clear, calm and easy to use. Every page has one job, and the design makes that job obvious.

The problem

  • Visitors land on the site and cannot tell within a few seconds what you do or what to do next.
  • The design no longer looks like the business you are today, and each new page drifts further from the last.
  • It looks fine on a laptop and awkward on the phone most of your visitors are holding.

What I do about it

  • I start with what your visitors come to do, and give every page one job in a sitemap we agree before any design.
  • Layouts, type and colour follow your brand, and a small component library keeps new pages consistent after launch.
  • I design for phones first, and you review a clickable preview in the browser rather than a static picture.

What you get out of it

A site that explains what you do in seconds and makes the next step obvious.

What’s included

  • Site structure

A sitemap and content plan built around what your visitors come to do.

  • Visual design

Layouts, type and colour that follow your brand, or help shape it if it is still young.

  • Responsive layouts

Designed for phones first, then tablets and large screens, not squeezed in afterwards.

  • Design system

Reusable components and simple rules, so new pages stay consistent after launch.

  • Copy support

Headlines and page copy edited for clarity, or written with you from scratch.

  • Prototypes

Clickable previews in the browser, so you judge the real thing rather than a static picture.

How it works

  1. Discovery

We talk about your business, your customers and what the site needs to change.

  2. Structure

I map the pages and the path through them, and we agree it together.

  3. Design

Key pages first, reviewed together, then rolled out to every template.

  4. Build or handover

I build it myself, or hand clean, documented files to your developer.

Questions people ask

Answers to confirm

Can you redesign my existing website?

Yes. I start with what works today, including your analytics and search rankings, so the redesign keeps what earns traffic and fixes what does not.

Do I need a brand identity first?

It helps, but it is not required. If your logo and colours are settled, I design within them. If they are not, I can propose a simple visual direction that suits the site.

Will the site work well on phones?

Yes. I design for small screens first and test on real devices before launch.

Do you use templates?

No. Each site is designed for its own content. I do reuse proven patterns for things like navigation and forms, because people already know how they work.
