Know House
One publishing system for Know House’s developments
I build and fix WordPress sites for Mauritian businesses, and I work as the WordPress developer for design studios that need one. Custom content structures, catalogues and bilingual sites are most of my work.
Draft for review: new v6 copy, not yet approved
If WordPress is slow, hard to edit or held together with plugins nobody understands, I find out why before suggesting a rebuild.
Much of my local work has been as the developer inside a studio team: the designer leads the look, I build the structure behind it. I am used to working to someone else’s design and deadlines.
Properties, products, issues and services each need their own fields and templates. I set those up so your team enters information once and it appears everywhere it should.
Each piece can be bought on its own. The full service page explains how I approach WordPress builds and what you receive.
Custom post types, fields and listings with JetEngine, so complex content stays consistent.
Layouts built to a supplied design, flexible enough to take real content as it arrives.
Product catalogues with variations and technical information, alongside service pages on the same site.
English and French content set up so each language has its own pages.
Diagnosing a site someone else built, fixing what is broken and documenting how it works.
WordPress projects for Mauritian clients, most delivered as the developer in a studio team. Each case study names the studio and my part.
What it runs on, what needs to change and any deadline. For studio work, send the design and the brief.
I look at the current build or the design, then agree what I will do, how it will be built and what is out of scope.
I build in a staging copy, test it on real devices and leave notes so you or your team can manage it.
Draft answers for review
Yes. A lot of my local WordPress work came through studios such as Fourlines Design Studio, where I handled development while a designer led the look.
Yes. I start by reviewing how it is built, which plugins it depends on and what is fragile, then tell you what is worth fixing and what is not.
Mostly Elementor Pro and JetEngine, with WooCommerce for shops and catalogues. I will tell you plainly if a site would be better served by a different approach.
Yes, as a separate service. You can have a site built without any ongoing contract.
Send me the site, or the design and brief if you are a studio. I will tell you what it involves before we agree anything. The first conversation is free and carries no commitment.
