Digital Strategy & Consultancy
I help you decide what to do with your website and digital tools, in what order and why. The advice is independent of who builds it, and the plans are written so your team or any supplier can carry them out.

Decisions I help with
What should we improve first?
A prioritised plan for the website and digital tools, with the reason, effort and risk of each step.
Is our website still fit for purpose?
A screen-by-screen review of the site for the people using it, with findings in plain language.
Which platform or supplier should we choose?
An independent comparison of the options, and what each one would commit you to.
Where are people dropping off?
A look at the journeys that matter, where they break down and what to test first.
How can we reduce digital waste?
Practical ways to make the site and its tools lighter, measured where they can be.
How I work
An audit, a roadmap and ongoing consultancy are separate engagements. Each has its own scope and end, and one does not commit you to the next.
Listen
I start with the decision in front of you, the people involved and the constraints you are working within.
Review the evidence
I look at what exists today, from the site and its analytics to the tools and processes around it, before recommending anything new.
Set out risks and options
You see the realistic options side by side, with the effort each involves and what could go wrong.
Prioritise, with the reasons
Recommendations come in order, each with its rationale, so your team can question one without losing the rest.
Deliver the advice or roadmap
You receive written findings and priorities in plain language. Help with implementation is available, never required. If I have a relationship with a supplier being considered, I say so first.

Advice, delivery and partnership
There are three ways to work together, and none depends on another.
A bounded piece of advice
Consultancy or an audit, with a defined question and an end. You keep the findings, whoever carries them out.
A defined plan or implementation
A roadmap, or the work itself through the website, search and AI services, each booked on its own.
An optional ongoing relationship
For a senior adviser over time, the Digital Impact Partnership. It is never a prerequisite for any service here.
Questions about strategy and consultancy
Draft answers for review
Can you advise without building anything?
Yes. Every service here is advice, review or planning, and you are never required to hire me for the work that follows.
Can our existing supplier carry out the recommendations?
Yes. Plans are written so your own team or any supplier can carry them out.
What information do you need from us?
It depends on the question. Usually access to the website and its analytics, a view of the tools and processes involved, and time with the people who make and carry out the decision. We agree the list at the start.
Is this a one-off engagement?
It can be. The services here are defined pieces of work with an end. Ongoing advice is available through the Digital Impact Partnership, if and when you want it.
Discuss the decision you need to make.
Independent advice, audits and plans for the digital decisions you need to make.
Need continuing responsibility rather than a defined project? Ongoing partnerships
