SEO Audits

I review how your site performs in search, find what is holding it back and give you a ranked list of fixes. You decide who makes them: me, your developer or your own team.

The problem

  • Your traffic has dropped, stalled or never started, and you cannot tell whether the cause is technical, content or something else.
  • You have an automated SEO score full of warnings and no way to tell which ones matter.
  • You are about to hire an SEO provider or agency and want an independent view of what is needed first.

What I do about it

  1. I check crawling, indexing, structure and content against how your customers search, and trace the likely causes from evidence.
  2. I judge each finding for its impact and the effort to fix it, and drop the warnings that do not matter.
  3. I give you a written, prioritised list that any competent provider can work from, so you can brief with confidence.

What you get out of it

You have a clear, ranked picture of what is limiting your search visibility and a plan anyone can act on.

Who it’s for

  • You have a site that is not getting the search visibility you expected and want to know why.
  • You have just launched, redesigned or migrated and want the search side checked.
  • You are comparing SEO proposals and need an independent baseline.
  • You have a developer or in-house team and want a clear list for them to work through.

If you want the whole site reviewed for usability, content and accessibility, a general website audit is the better fit. If you already know the technical problems and want them fixed, technical SEO is the implementation service.

What’s included

  • Crawl and index review

I check what search engines can reach, what they index and what they exclude, using Search Console and a full crawl.

  • Site structure and internal links

I look at how your pages connect, which are buried and which compete for the same query.

  • Content against search intent

I compare your key pages with what people searching those terms actually want to find.

  • Structured data and snippets

I check markup for errors and look at how your pages appear in results.

  • Page experience signals

I note mobile behaviour and speed issues that affect search, without turning it into a performance project.

  • Prioritised fix list

Every finding comes with evidence, the reason it matters, a suggested fix and a rating for impact and effort.

How it works

  1. Agree the scope

We confirm the goals, the markets and languages, and which pages and queries matter most.

  2. Gather evidence

I use Search Console, a site crawl and manual checks, and record what each tool shows and what it cannot.

  3. Judge and prioritise

A tool can measure, but it cannot decide what matters, so I rank each finding by impact and effort.

  4. Walk through the findings

We go through the report together and agree which fixes come first and who does them.

Questions people ask

Draft answers, to confirm

What does an SEO audit include?

Mine covers crawling and indexing, site structure, content against search intent, structured data and the main page experience issues. The report gives each finding its evidence, its consequence and a suggested fix.

How is an SEO audit different from a website audit?

An SEO audit looks only at search visibility. A website audit reviews the wider experience, including usability, content clarity and accessibility.

Will the audit tell me my SEO score?

Scores from automated tools can be a starting point, but I do not rely on them. A score describes the report, and it is not a result for your business.

Do you have to do the fixes?

No. The report is written so any developer or SEO provider can act on it, and implementation is never assumed.

Step 1 of 2

Ask for a website review

Tell me about the site and what you want checked. I will not ask for passwords here. If the review needs access, we set that up safely later.

What kind of review?
Do you have access to Google Search Console? (optional)
On which devices? (optional)

For example, booking a room, finding opening hours or sending an enquiry.

Could you give access to analytics or the site if the review needs it? (optional)
When would you like the review? (optional)

Step 2 of 2

How to reach you

What happens next. I look at the site and your answers, then reply with a suggested audit scope. Nothing is booked until you agree the scope in writing.

Tell me what you need to achieve.

We can work out the right next step before committing to a solution. You can book this on its own. An ongoing partnership is optional, never a requirement.
